Birth Doula Services
I will meet with you and your partner before labor to:
Become acquainted with you
Discuss your priorities, fears and any concerns
Present evidenced-based information on the risks and benefits of common interventions and procedures
Help you create and discuss your birth plan to inform your care provider of your wants/desires
My goal is to help you be in power during your pregnancy, labor, and transition into parenthood.
***I am not a medical professional and cannot give medical advice or make any medical decisions for you or your child. In the event of the freebirth, the parent(s) must be knowledgeable of what to do in emergency situations as the doulas scope of practice is strictly to support the family***
Postpartum Doula Services
In the early days following birth, as your doula, I can assist with support ranging from but not limited to:
Self-care/recovery
Postpartum comfort measures for birthing person
Infant feeding support
Diapering, bathing, and dressing baby
Shopping and meal preparation
Sibling integration
Fielding phone calls, visits, and communications for the family
Providing educational resources and making referrals when appropriate
Childbirth Education
Private classes are offered year-round in the comfort of your own home. Group classes are offered periodically.
~The next set of group classes will be offered in January 2025. Please fill out the interest form for more information~
The childbirth education classes are structured with every mama in mind. Whether your birth plan includes medical pain management or a hands off approach, I will supply you with the tools necessary to be empowered in bringing your bundle of joy(s) into the world. Comfort measures, positioning, and informed consent are all included topics in this course. Additionally, one partner or support person is free with each pregnant belly. The goal is for them to be as confident in these topics as you are, so they can assist and keep you calm and comfortable throughout your labor.
